TITLE:      SEASONAL (SUMMER) GROUNDS CREW STARTING 6/3/2019

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

1.  Knowledge of gardening and grounds maintenance practices. 

2.  Ability to organize and complete assignments.

4.  Follow oral and written instructions

5.  Perform heavy lifting and physical labor.

6.  Skill to operate motorized vehicles, hand and power tools and related equipment.

7.  No formal education is required. 

8.  Must possess a valid driver’s license.

9.  Regular attendance is required.

 

REPORTS TO:         Grounds Supervisor

 

 

Performance Responsibilities

1. Participates in the general care and maintenance of lawns, athletic fields, trees, flowers, shrubs and sidewalks and related equipment.
2. Participates in planning, assigning and monitoring grounds maintenance.
3. Participates in mowing, irrigating, fertilizing, aerating and weeding grounds, cutting and laying sod and landscaping.
4. Participates in planting, cultivating, irrigating, trimming and spraying plant life.
5. Removes ice, snow and debris from sidewalks, streets and grounds using hand tools and related vehicles and equipment.
6. Loads, unloads and moves furniture, equipment, materials and supplies by operation automotive vehicles, tractors and forklifts.
7. Maintains, installs and repairs sprinklers systems by digging holes, trenches and drainage ditches.
8. Operates, maintains and repairs lawn mowers, power sweepers, tractors, various power and hand tools, and related equipment.
9. Patches and grades parking lots, streets and sidewalks.
10. Liens and maintains athletic fields, sets up equipment for special events, and cleans stadium and rest area restrooms
