TITLE:          COUNSELOR

 Performance Responsibilities 

A ten- month position in a setting where counselors are responsible for a portion of all four classes, remaining with those same students over their four years in high school.  As such, they provide holistic & proactive services which contribute to each student’s educational, vocational, & personal/social development.

 

The following is a list of duties that will assigned to the person hired for the Brandon Valley High School Counselor position.

 

• Individual Counseling
• Registration
• Classroom Guidance
• College/Career Planning
• Academic Support
• Assessment-related tasks
• Dual Credit Support
• Retreat Planning

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:   Contract as per Negotiated Agreement with the BVEA.

Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of classroom teachers and other teaching specialists. (AFC-E)
